Intensive Outpatient Program

IOP consists of weekly groups and individual therapy that serve as a jumpstart into a new life in recovery. Here you will learn about your substance use disorder and how to live a life free from its bondage.

From leaving the substance behind to learning how to build a life without it, IOP will provide tools and support that serve as your foundation.

IOP can serve as a great next step after completing inpatient or a way to remain in your community while teaching you skills and providing a safe, supportive environment to make this change feasible.

Early Recovery Skills

As part of IOP, Early Recovery Skills provides the building blocks for the beginning of your recovery journey.

This roadmap will help you to understand how to deal with triggers, both in your environment and within and what to expect in the early stages.

Learn how your own thoughts, feelings, and behavior both create problems but also can be changed through the power of choice.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is your safe place to take all the information you are gathering in groups and see how they apply to you and where you want to go from here.

This is your time to deal with some of the reasons you used and learn how to find freedom from them.

Marc’s story: “I had a long history of being in trouble; I started to get some hope when a counselor explained the difference between shame and guilt. She explained that I’m not a mistake; I’ve just made a lot of them. That shifted the perspective from who I am to what I’ve done. I could deal with that.”

Your counselor helps to guide you along your path and support you in the goals that you have that create a bridge between your old life and the one you’re madly in love with.

Group Students Smile and have fun and using tablet It also helps to share ideas in the work and project. And also review the book before the exam

Peer Support

Peer Support Services are your time to meet with someone who has walked this path themselves and can both empathize and provide their own experience for navigating the recovery journey.

Group of African American men participate in a group therapy session or support group meeting. A young man gestures while discussing something with the group.

You will also get help with resources that improve your journey and make it feel less overwhelming.

From figuring out how to go to school, find a free gym, and learn new hobbies, peer support can point the way.

They can also walk through scary things with you such as sitting with you for your first time in a new meeting. In collaboration with therapy, your peers will help you figure out where to go from where you are now.

Grief and Trauma

Grief and trauma are some of the heavy hitters that have played a big part in our journey so far and the remains can still deeply affect our emotions, thinking, behavior, and sense of wellbeing. Here you not only interact with others who have shared similar pain, but also learn valuable skills for finding freedom from the past.

Parenting

Our old lifestyle affects a lot more than just ourselves. Our parenting group helps parents learn how to navigate this role within a recovery lifestyle, repair old wounds, and break the generational cycle to provide a life that the whole family is madly in love with.

Life SKills

Life in Recovery discusses any issue that arises to seek out support and solutions. Addiction affects every area of life as does recovery. Learning to budget, balance life goals, get through difficult times, and falling in love with yourself are but a few topics covered here. There may always be something to learn along our journey, but there’s also a lot more abundance in store.

Yoga

Yoga incorporates so many skills that are learned in recovery- tuning into the present moment, caring for your body, sitting with emotions- we get to put it all together here and with each other. The Journey Inward is not about being a flexible athlete, but rather an emotionally flexible human being who can seek solace in any situation through the power of mindfulness.

Community Activities

The Process of recovery shouldn't Just be work-It should be enjoyable!
